The Mole came through for a secret session, and totally bagged a place on the Notion team...

This Thursday:

Ok, Notion is closed all day on Thursday! There's a private function on at The Works and unfortunately we have to close for the day! Also BMX night will no doubt be canceled too. We'll be open as per on Friday though and if anyone is keen we could ride then instead? In other news we are currently editing a Secret Session with MOLE.. it's a gooden so stay tuned for that. This is United

This is United is now in the building! It's a must have and available on our online store for £12.99 with free shipping. Notion and The Works skatepark will be doing a BMX only night every Thursday from 4-10pm, it starts next Thursday 23rd Sept and will carry on as a permanent fixture. We'll be showing This is United upstairs right through the evening. We'll give you more info next week.. have a good weekend.

Tom Sanders United edit...

Our Sandy recently went down hard knee wise. Word on the street is he's doing good and could be back riding within the coming months. The Notion physio team have installed a fitness program for Tom, it starts at "basic - dance floor work out" to "heavy - dance floor shut down" with manc walk warm ups and warm downs in between. I'm rambling, get well soon Sandy.....

Notion Store Trip: Day 4 and 5 (Hastings)

We rocked up at our boy James Cox's place last night and were treated to cases of lager beer and a Van Homan platter. The Van Homan platter was designed and constructed by Alexis (James's missus) for the benefit of passing BMX'ers. It's a high quality buffet styled meal, served at a perfect quantity. The weather today sucked, windy and raining but we popped over to The Source ramps, we love that place so much, those guys know how to do BMX right. We managed to hit some spots as featured in the hit VHS "The Last Resort", it turned into a good day even if the weather was poor, everyone seemed to have a good session. We nipped over to Eastbourne so a few of the crew could get tattooed, again by Alexis, who's probably the best in the country at it. Fathead was particularly funny at this point, he came away with a Yorkshire rose. Joe got an attacking panther, Adam and George got art based things, they all looked really good. We didn't roll back in until late but we did manage to pop out for a swift pint before the old town's pub's closed for the night. Last day half the crew headed back with George, me, Adam and Fathead set off a couple of hours later after visiting 4Down for a while and sessioning the wooden park for abit before it gets torn down. The trip was so sick, super chilled UK jaunt. Dodging the weather was fun. We'll pop a web video up here real soon, thanks again to everyone who took care of us, we really appreciated it.. and thanks to everyone who came on the trip and repped Notion Store... word

Notion Store Trip: Day 3 (Portsmouth)

We woke up pretty late at Faz's place after Fathead kept us up all night while losing the plot on 2 bottles of cider. Milk from fox's, pegs, beans from hens were all topics of conversation as he chatted through the night and kept everyone giggling like girls on a school trip. We hit up a classic greasy spoon for breakfast, a real real Eastenders type of gig, with disgruntled locals and cheap tea to boot. We hit up a flatbank based arena in a shitty estate and it was dope.. that was my personal highlight of the day. We hit Hastings and stayed at James Cox's place, many lager beers and a Van Homan platter from his missus Alexis... more to follow

Notion Store Trip: Day 2 (Newport/Cardiff)

Today was really good, we woke up in a Holiday inn after searching all over for a hotel in Bristol, only to be told there's a balloon fiesta (or as Mole puts it a Blue Fiesta) on and all rooms were taken! Not sweet. We looked out in Newport because not only did we get a kick ass hotel but we also rode the surrounding area for half the day and it was sick. Big old fly out session followed by a rail sesh then onto Cardiff. We kept the session their brief and headed out to Farren Downes joint for lager beers and a bed for the night. Highlight of the day had to be a couple of birds in a car (one driving) getting their tits out for us, unprompted, while their kids were in the back!! Day 3 up pompey.. more soon

Notion Store Trip: Day 1 (Birmingham)

So Friday night we hit Pete Moore's joint and it was sick, super sweet set up. We drank all the beers and got our head down for the night. Morning broke for us at like 9am we dodged about for a cooked breakfast but settled for pasty's and spare ribs. The weather was terrible.. rain all day long, we hit up fastlands as it's undercover had a decent session there, loads of smack heads and the usual shit. Then popped over to Coventry to hit the over pass, the sweet set up was covered in rain but we sessioned the big bank and wallride it was cool. Fathead bust his front wheel so we popped to Ride bike store in Coventry, it's so sick.. really nice dudes and a sweet set up. We drove down to Bristol to find a hotel for the night, unfortunately for us there's a "balloon fiesta" on and all rooms were taken, the closest we got was in Newport South Wales where dreams are made of. We woke up there this morning, which is day 2 so stay tuned for that.. more soon

Notion Store Trip: Day 0 (Friday 13th)

So after fixing a car we made our way down to Birmingham and stopped with a dude called Pete, who was kind enough to put us up for the night and show us around the next day!! Here's a few pics, stay tuned for an entertaining day 1 update From Birmingham and Coventry!! word
